Seth Meyers Going All In On Donald Trump’s Birther Lies Is A Must Watch: ‘F*ck You!’

Seth Meyers is usually an incisive and astute political observer, as he’s shown many times during this campaign cycle already. On Monday’s “A Closer Look” segment, Meyers goes all in on Trump’s lies, his Obama birther claims, and lies about his Obama birther claims.

Unsurprisingly, it’s a must watch.

In the segment, Seth is firing on all cylinders as he absolutely tears apart Trump’s entire week (and last five years) of birther claims, lies, and slander.

Before the piece is even a quarter of the way over Meyers already drops the f-bomb in an amazing way when responding to Trump’s recent “admittance” that “Obama was born in the United States. Period.” Seth’s reply?

“Obama was born in the United States. Period. F*ck you. Exclamation point.”

He is already fed up by minute three of a nearly 10-minute segment and things only get better from there, as the host mocks Trump’s claim that Hillary’s 2008 campaign originally started the Obama birther rumor by saying,

“Obama wasn’t born here is your number one hit. Saying you got it from Hillary would be like Bruce Springsteen saying he only wrote “Born To Run” because he heard Bon Jovi say it once.”

This isn’t just a well-put and intelligent rant about Trump’s campaign trail lies, it’s also freaking hilarious.

Seth calls Trump a magician, Chris Christie a cartoon gangster, and completely dissembles the notion that Trump is doing anything as a presidential candidate but blindly fumbling around until he finds another falsehood to use as a political foothold. After this fact check-filled diatribe hopefully Trump (and every member of the GOP who have supported his false claims) is one step closer to working at “LieMart.”

Jimmy Fallon got a lot of flack for inviting Donald Trump on to The Tonight Show only to muss his hair and make jokes about Putin. Seth might not be inviting Trump to his studio any time soon, but he will certainly get better feedback than the late night host with whom he shares a network home.
