Megyn Kelly And Donald Trump Have Conveniently Made Up In Time For Her First Primetime Special

It looks like the Republican side can game the media too. Six months after an entertaining though also pretty depressing feud, Donald Trump has made up with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and will appear on her first primetime special on May 17. If you will recall, their feud included insinuations that Kelly was on her period when she asked Trump a question about how he treats women during the first debate, and that he even dropped out of another debate in January because of her.

According to Deadline, Kelly will interview Trump as part of her special, Megyn Kelly Presents. She’ll also air clips from the interview on her regular show, The Kelly File. Here is how she announced the news:

“Mr. Trump and I sat down together for a meeting earlier this month at my request,” Kelly said in today’s news. “He was gracious with his time and I asked him to consider an interview. I am happy to announce he has agreed and I look forward to a fascinating exchange – our first sit-down interview together in nearly a year.”

The earlier meeting Kelly refers to is presumably that time when people spotted Kelly going into Trump Tower a couple of weeks ago. She later confirmed that she had met with him, they had “cleared the air,” and she had asked him for an interview.

Megyn Kelly Presents will have other interviews with “celebrities from the world of politics, entertainment and other fields.” I guess she’s trying to become the next Barbara Walters.
