Trump Protester Charged After Allegedly Slapping A Police Horse At A Kansas City Rally

Violence at Donald Trump rallies is not only limited to humans, unfortunately. At a rally in Kansas City over a week ago, a Trump protestor apparently slapped a police horse, and was arrested on Friday for the crime.

According to KTLA, the incident happened on March 12, when local officers told protestors blocking the street outside of the campaign event to move onto the sidewalk, and not interfere with street traffic. The suspect, 29-year-old April Foster, started yelling at a police horse that was blocking the crowd. When the horse wasn’t scared, she slapped the horse with an open hand, then fled. Police finally caught her on Friday after someone called in a tip.

Kansas City broadcast station KMBC has footage of part of Foster’s altercation with the horse, which you can see in the video above. “You can see her lunge in and grab the horse by the reins,” says the reporter. The video, however, does not show the slap, though you can sort of see her hiding behind the banner she was holding, before running away.

Now the police have caught Foster, and she has been charged with “abuse of a police service animal.” Foster is currently out on bond.
