So far our main reaction to WWE Immortals has been barely stifled laughter at Roman Reigns literally being dressed as a Roman centurion in the game and the weird, phallic face braids half the characters are sporting, but how does this wacky WWE/Mortal Kombat mashup actually play? Well, a bunch of short gameplay videos showing off some of our WWE Kombatants in action have hit the ‘net and the game is looking even more absurd than I could’ve hoped.
First up, we have John Cena who sends mixed messages by straight-up running a dude over with a jeep while dressed as Superman.
Here’s the Bella Twins, who fight as a unit, deploying a bunch of jumping based attacks. Nikki even gets both her legs up on hers. Honestly, I’m not sure how much research the Mortal Kombat guys actually did before making this game.
Roman Reigns is basically Scorpion, which goes a long way towards making up for his goofy outfit.
I’m pretty sure this is what Triple H imagines he’s doing every time he does the pedigree.
Well, as long as I don’t have to enter my credit card number every time I want to do a finishing move, consider me fully on-board for this nonsense.
