Less than one week before the Road to WrestleMania kicks off with the Royal Rumble event, WWE’s most legendary Superstars assemble in Dallas, Texas, for “Raw Reunion,” a special night celebrating the rich history of sports-entertainment. With WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels already slated to appear and new names confirmed to join them, what other surprises are in store for this momentous installment of Raw? Our five-point preview:
1. Kevin Nash is still in the Raw Reunion graphic on WWE.com’s preview despite chokeslamming his son on Christmas Eve, getting suspended from his legends contract and saying he’ll never return to WWE TV. So either money’s more important than his word or WWE’s got a lazy graphics department.
2. WWE.com also confirms X-Pac, Jimmy Hart, Billy Gunn and Ron Simmons, in case you were wondering one of the old guys who always shows up wouldn’t show up THIS time. I hope Simmons says damn!
3. If Daniel Bryan doesn’t wrestle on Raw and gets stuck on Smackdown wrestling in pre-taped matches just in case he hurts himself and they need to cut away from his arm falling off or whatever I am going to be so mad. Bryan’s supposed to wrestle Kane in a rematch on Smackdown this week, with no Raw plans mentioned. Can’t he just wrestle Kane on this show too? Isn’t that how they book things these days?
4. In case you haven’t seen it yet, John Cena’s new shirt is powder blue and has a bunch of crudely-traced pictures of John Cena on the front. Eagerly awaiting the “I kinda LIKE his new shirt” tweets from people who need to feel special today.
5. Tonight’s main event is Roman Reigns reading Finnegans Wake in its entirety. It’s gonna be GREAT.
