As SmackDown drew to a close Thursday night, the “Yes!” Movement was in full effect, a celebratory moment that could very well be a sign of things to come at WWE Fastlane if Daniel Bryan overcomes Roman Reigns and punches his ticket to the main event of WrestleMania. However, even though The Big Dog and The Beard were seemingly on the same page when they stood triumphant after Tag Team Turmoil on SmackDown, Reigns isn’t about to just hand over the opportunity he earned by winning the 2015 Royal Rumble Match.
As WWE Fastlane approaches, both Superstars will be looking to gain important momentum in anticipation of their high-stakes battle, live on WWE Network. How are these ring warriors preparing for battle, and what does The Authority have in store for them on Raw? WWE.com has some ideas. (via WWE.com)
Our five-point preview:
1. The first preview point on WWE.com is, “How will The Authority deal with Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns … and Big Show?” I hope everyone who read that sentence said “handicap match” out-loud before they reached the end.
2. DUSTY RHODES is making an appearance to add some gravity to the Goldust and Stardust breakup, and Dusty appearances create such a broad range of possibilities, I’m not sure what to expect. It could be a new The View Never Changes, or it could be Aksana getting caught in a net and dancing while Ron Simmons says “Damn.”
3. “Will Cena retaliate against Rusev?” Depends on your definition of “retaliate.”
4. I want Sting to come to the ring to sign a contract against Triple H, but for H to not be there. And then SUDDENLY you hear Lemmy from around the arena and the lights flicker, and a Powerpoint presentation on the TitanTron says I ACCEPT YOUR ACCEPTANCE. Then, maybe a Castle Grayskull replica falls from the ceiling and crushes Sting.
5. If WWE wants to bring Total Divas storylines to RAW, maybe tonight we’ll get that hot “Brie Bella pukes on Nikki’s boobs” angle. It combines three of Vince’s favorite things: twins, incest and bad breath.
