Friday Wrestling Conversation: How Would You Book Ronda Rousey In WWE?

This week’s Friday Wrestling Conversation assumes that, at some point in the near future, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey either retires from MMA to become a WWE Diva — their branding, not ours — or has worked out some kind of deal that allows her to do both. Totally hypothetical. Say you’re put in charge of the book for Ronda’s entire WWE career. What do you do with her? How do you book her? Where does she go?

There’s a lot to consider. Would Ronda be able to work the other women on Raw and SmackDown despite being an Olympic-level judoka? Do you give her an NXT run? Do you just put her in big showcase matches like the inevitably SportsCenter-friendly Stephanie McMahon showdown, or book her against men? She believably took down Triple H. Sting couldn’t do that. If you do book her against men, does that devalue the other women in the company? Is Ronda a big enough star that it doesn’t matter?

All things to think about, but how you interpret the question is up to you. How do you book Ronda Rousey in WWE? Let us know in our comments section below, and don’t be afraid to register your opinion of the previous person’s ideas. Just keep it civil, and work in jokes about Cat Zingano jumping headfirst into Randy Orton wherever possible.
