Sheamus Responded To Accusations Of Recklessness With Some Pretty Reckless Tweets

For those who didn’t watch SmackDown (for shame!), the show featured an unusually violent Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus main-event. Bryan got the worst of it, getting hit with multiple cringe-inducing suplexes and needing seven stitches after the match to close a new forehead vagina.

Ouch. Well, Sheamus apparently got in trouble backstage for working too stiffly and not protecting Bryan enough. Granted, Bryan was giving almost as good as he got, and Sheamus could have pretty easily ended up the bloody one by the end of the match, but Bryan is basically held together with wishes and superglue. Let’s not try to re-break him as soon as possible, okay?

As you would suspect, Sheamus started getting some action on Twitter once the reports of recklessness came out, and Sheamus’ response was, uh, less than diplomatic…

Okay, the responses are in character, but if you’re legitimately getting chewed out backstage for not caring about your opponent’s well-being, maybe tweets that make it sound like you don’t care about your opponent’s well-being aren’t the best choice.

I’m of a split mind on the whole thing. On one hand, Sheamus was more compelling on SmackDown than he has been in years. Maybe ever. On the other, a more interesting Sheamus isn’t worth it if he has to legit beat dudes up to get there. What do you folks think?
