Hey folks, the King of the Ring tournament is back! And it features R-Truth in a semi-finals match! Hey, you take the bad with the good.
The semi-finals and finals of the tournament will be live tonight at 8 ET/ 5 PT on the WWE Network, so what the heck, here’s a live thread where you can discuss the action and results. Reply with a +1 to any funny and/or particularly insightful comments and they may be featured in tomorrow’s King of the Ring Best and Worst.
As a reminder, it will be Sheamus vs. Neville and R-Truth vs. Bad News Barrett in the semi-finals. A few good things could potentially come out of this show…
– Barrett beats R-Truth in seconds, then cuts his iconic “Bad News 3:16” promo (“I’m afraid I have some BAD NEWS about your ass”) then goes on to have a unstoppable Stone Cold-esque run. Or at the very least, becomes slightly less pathetic.
– Neville and Barrett refuse to fight each other in the finals, because they know true monarchs are created via inbreeding and not pro wrestling tournaments.
– It turns out this was a double-sided bracket and Cesaro was just on the other side.
