Insane Wrestler Scott Steiner Is Putting Up $1 Million Of His Own Money To Challenge Hulk Hogan

Let’s not mince words here. Scott Steiner doesn’t seem to be the biggest Hulk Hogan fan these days, and he doesn’t care who knows it. If you’ll remember, he was banned from the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony over WrestleMania weekend after an incident with the Hulkster’s wife, and once details from that altercation emerged, Steiner came under formal investigation for allegedly threatening to kill Hogan. While there’s certainly a possibility that Steiner is just going super old-school and keeping up appearances in public, it seems much easier to believe that there’s legitimate bad blood between the two. I’m inclined to blame Eric Bischoff, but I tend to blame him for most things, including solar wind. In any event, Steiner is doubling down on this and daring Hogan to show up and confront him at a wrestling event in June. The stakes… $1 million.

Um, Scott? It’s not an open challenge if it’s specifically addressed to one guy. I should’ve expected nothing less; it’s not like he’s great with math.

But you heard the man, Big Poppa Pump is (supposedly) putting up a million bucks if Hogan shows up and bodyslams him. This is set to take place on June 7 at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. It sounds like some independent matches are supposed to take place, but the main draw will be the appearances from wrestling legends like Bret Hart, Bill Goldberg, and Ric Flair. Oh, and The Nasty Boys will be there, as well, because the Mets decided they could no longer handle being the worst thing to happen at the ballpark. Will Hogan actually show up? Unless murder threats from months ago were actually a promotional tactic to sell tickets to the modern equivalent of Big John Studd’s bodyslam challenge, I’m going to say no. Besides, unless Snoop Dogg’s there to help emasculate Curtis Axel, why even bother?
