Stone Cold is here to solve your problems! Well… kind of. Okay, not really. But I can only assume that’s how WWE and Steve Austin came to end their much-rumored spat to reunite on the WWE Network.
After months of speculation that the two were embroiled in a feud, it seems that someone finally stomped a mudhole deep enough to bury the hatchet. Austin will return to WWE programming on June 1 to interview Paul Heyman live from backstage at RAW in San Antonio, Texas. WWE is apparently hoping this will encourage people who signed up for a free month in May to stick around for June.
The last time he interviewed Heyman during WrestleMania XXX (the sexiest of all Manias), Austin admitted that he was tempted to return and wrestle Brock Lesnar. Instead of teasing another in-ring return, I hope we delve further into Austin’s temptations this time, such as, “Sometimes, I want to draw a middle finger on my lawn with my sit-down lawnmower,” or, “Milano cookies.”
