Dean Ambrose had a close call during the recent Smackdown tapings at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI, when a fan rushed at the former Shield member before being tackled to the ground by security. It’s unclear as to what the fan was holding, but some have suggested that it was a knife or similar sharp object, and Dean Ambrose was gonna get hella stabbed:

No one really knows what he was holding. Was it a knife? Was it a pair of John Cena dog tags whittled down into a makeshift shiv? Was it a can of dry shampoo? Actually, if it was the latter, they really should have let him through.

Ambrose was unharmed, and there’s been no report on what happened to his would-be attacker.

This comes shortly after Roman Reigns got knocked out by a flying Money in the Bank briefcase, because sometimes wrestling fans are the worst. I mean, seriously – never ever ever put your hands on a wrestler. Remember what happened when a fan got at CM Punk?

Not only is it incredibly stupid and inappropriate, it can get scary for the performers as well:

I was up in the stands, surrounded. Somebody said, ‘let’s push him down the stairs,'” Punk explained. “I got hit in the ribs three times. I was getting shoved and I was getting punched… Then I started getting tagged in the back of the head. Unfortunately, I lashed out in the heat of the moment and I apologize. I’m really just glad nobody was hurt.” – via WWE.com
