I’ve always kind of thought Arnold Schwarzenegger missed his true calling by not getting into pro wrestling. Sure, he’s done pretty well for himself with the whole acting thing, but he would have been a legit great pro wrestler. For that reason, it’s always fun whenever The Governator crosses paths with WWE.
As you may have heard, The Terminator will be a character in WWE 2K16, and Steve Austin recently cut a promo on Schwarzenegger’s T-800 and his stack of dimes neck. Well, Schwarzenegger wasn’t about to let that stand, and has shot back with one of the goofiest, most enjoyable wrestling promos you’re likely to hear for some time to come. An “It’s not a tumor!” reference? Schwarzenegger boasting about beating up The Predator? Weird slurping noises? Trust me, this promo checks all the important boxes.
Is there some way we can arrange for these guys to wrestle for real, rather than somewhat awkwardly challenging each other to fight in a video game? Austin can show up with his beers and whatnot, only for Arnold to freeze and shatter him with his Mr. Freeze gun (“Sorry for the stone cold reception”). I really think it’s how Austin would prefer to go out.
