Less than a week before Night of Champions, the season premiere of Raw is already packed with high-stakes action, with Nikki Bella defending her Divas Championship against Charlotte and The New Day putting their WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against former titleholders The Prime Time Players. What else is in store on this monumental edition of Raw? WWE.com has some ideas. (via WWE.com)
Our five-point preview:
1. It’s the SEASON PREMIERE, you guys! Will we finally get some answers about last season’s big finale, where John Cena gave Kofi Kingston an Attitude Adjustment? Will they bring back Dolph Ziggler for this season? WHO KNOWS, HOW COULD WE POSSIBLY KNOW?
2. The New Day defends the Tag Team Championships against The Prime Time Players, with the winning team moving on to Night of Champions to face Los Dudley Boys. Who will win, the team that’s feuding with the Dudleys, or the tangentially related third-party babyface team? Stay tuned!
3. Charlotte will attempt to take the Divas Championship from Nikki Bella before the Bellatron counter ends, and Nikki becomes the longest-reigning Divas Champion in history. She’ll also try to wrestle an entire match without a crowd, WWE and The Internet all getting impatient in different directions and blaming each other for sustainable change not being an overnight thing.
4. Sting will meet Seth Rollins’ cool 9-year old cousin Bobby, then punch him in the face. The crowd will cheer, because they like Sting and hate Seth Rollins.
5. Seriously, though, Rollins should retaliate for last week’s statue destruction by throwing Lex Luger into a garbage truck.
