Batista Says He’d Return To WWE, But He Wants The Chris Jericho Deal

I think I’ve mentioned in another post just how much I enjoyed Batista in Guardians of the Galaxy, but I’ll reiterate here. Big Dave knocked it out of the park as Drax, and it’s awesome that he’s locked down his place in the Marvel universe. As a player in that universe, he naturally attended the premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron in London. That’s where the folks over at HeyUGuys asked him about his potential future back in the world of WWE. Check out the video here:

“I get constantly asked if I am going to go back and I would. I love wrestling. I talked to Chris Jericho, who is a good friend of mine recently and he does a lot of untelevised events, that’s all he does and I think I may take that path…

The television…you’re just too locked in, you’re too locked into the scripts, which I don’t think are great these days…and I don’t want to be locked in. I just want to go back and entertain the fans, so I may try and go that path.”

It’s been a while since I’d heard anything from Batista about a potential return, so it’s good to hear him say that he has a potential plan for the future. Both Batista and Chris Jericho are proven company men who have a lot on their schedules, whether it’s acting or a music career, so it’s not crazy to think that this might end up happening. It won’t be going down any time soon, though. With Guardians 2 and the new James Bond movie Spectre both in the works, we’ll have to wait a bit to see him back in a WWE ring. Honestly, he just needs to return because Batista vs. Sami Zayn in a Flat Cap Match absolutely must happen.
