Oddsmakers Don’t Believe Brock Lesnar Will Return To The UFC In 2016

Have you had enough Brock Lesnar news yet? Nah, us neither. Between the two-sport champion’s thunderous return at UFC 200 and his upcoming SummerSlam dream match against the returning Randy Orton, we’re already deep into the summer of Lesnar.

While Lesnar has been outspoken about being open to more UFC fights and will continue being drug tested and considered as being under contract with UFC for the time being, Las Vegas oddsmakers don’t believe he will return to the Octagon to fight again this calendar year.

At the moment, these are the odds Bovada has for Lesnar competing in UFC before 2016 is over:

Will Brock Lesnar Fight in the UFC again in 2016?

Yes +140 (7/5)

No -200 (1/2)

(For those who aren’t aware, a money line bet indicates how much you would need to bet to win $100. Since Brock not fighting again is a -200 favorite, you would need to place $200 on him not fighting in order to win $100 off that bet.) (This is also a reminder that prop bets are super weird and gambling is completely bizarre.)

Of course, it should be noted that Lesnar has only had two or more MMA fights in one year twice before. The last time he did so was in 2010. So the odds were never going to be much in favor of him fighting multiple times this year, even if he wasn’t under an active WWE contract.

For now, let’s all just be thankful that as wrestling fans, we get at LEAST two Brock Lesnar WWE matches a year. MMA fans can’t even bank on that much. And that’s just sad.
