Conor McGregor is continuing his campaign to antagonize every WWE fan and superstar leading up to his rematch with Nate Diaz on August 20th. Last week he dismissed a question about bringing his talents to the squared circle, saying “I haven’t really thought about it. For the most part, those WWE guys are pussies. They’re messed-up pussies if you ask me.”

That led to half the WWE roster unleashing a hail of angry tweets at the Irish fighter and causing UFC’s Eddie Alvarez to come to pro wrestling’s defense. But it seems like that’s only convinced McGregor to delve even further into his opinions on the current crop of wrestling talent.

“I just said it like it is. They’re dweebs,” McGregor said during a press conference at his Las Vegas training facility on Friday. “What’s the main guy? John Cena. He’s 40. He’s 40 years of age. He’s walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and a headband talking about nobody can see him. We can see him right there. He’s a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherf**ker. They’re dweebs, those guys.”

McGregor did clarify that his comments were reserved for the latest generation of WWE superstars.

“Like I said, no disrespect to the dons of the game, the McMahons,” he continued. “Vinny Mac [Vincent McMahon] is a f**king legend. They wrote Vinny off a few years ago when he dropped from the billions and then he rose back up and now he’s back in the billionaire club. What he’s been able to do with that bunch of dweebs he has over there at the moment has been phenomenal, and I respect him for that. And then of course the OGs of the game, y’know — The Rock, Stone Cold, they’re cool motherf**kers. Even Ric Flair is a cool motherf**ker.”

“I’m just speaking the truth,” McGregor concluded. “That new age of those guys are absolute dweebs. They just seem messed up in the head. I don’t know what it is. When I listen to them talk, when I listen to them carry themselves, they just don’t seem right in the head. So that might have been a bit rudeness for me to say, but again: It ain’t trash talk, it’s true talk.”

That ‘cool motherf**ker’ Ric Flair was one of Conor’s most vocal critics when he lashed out against wrestling initially, accusing McGregor of stealing his gimmick and questioning whether the MMA fighter could hang with former Kent State collegiate wrestler Dolph Ziggler or oldschool Irish catch wrestler Fit Finlay.

“I don’t know what to say to Ric Flair … this ain’t no gimmick. This is the real s**t.” McGregor said. “I’ve gotta get in and fight a man for real with no script, with no nothing. He was talking about bringing some other wrestling guys out to challenge me. Come bring it then! This is the real shit over here. You want to come over, we can fight no problem. A few of them are talking about the street and all. If they want to do that, come at me and see what happens.”

I doubt we’ve heard the last from either McGregor or the WWE roster in this growing feud. Maybe John Cena — who didn’t even respond to Conor’s initial fighting words — will finally chime in and add his two cents. We’re not sure if his latest tweet was in regards to McGregor’s tirade against him, but it sure does fit regardless…
