Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart opened his WWE SummerSlam hosting gig with a monologue (seen in the above video) and the first surprise of the night: an appearance by the “hardcore legend” and WWE Hall of Famer, Mick Foley.

Jon brought out Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy as “back up” for his plan to confront Brock Lesnar — yes, that Brock Lesnar, the one that could eat Jon Stewart like a damn fairy tale troll — for ending the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30. Stewart’s been upset about that since it happened, if you’ll recall.

Only one problem … Mick Foley is terrified of Brock Lesnar, and only agreed to be here because his brain is scrambled and he thought Jon said “Rock.” That kind of miscommunication gets you taken to Suplex City anywhere from 1-16 times.

A little later in the show, Stewart ran into Arrow star Stephen Amell and his SummerSlam tag team partner Neville backstage, and revealed that he’s really “only here for the Taker.” The Undertaker walks by, and we’re given the one time in history when Jon Stewart, Stephen Amell and The Undertaker are in the same room at the same time. WWE reality is the weirdest kind of reality.
