Hideo Itami Is Out 6-8 Months As WWE’s Shoulder Injury Armageddon Continues

According to a report from PWInsider, WWE NXT star Hideo Itami is expected to be out six to eight months with a serious shoulder injury. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.

Top NXT star Sami Zayn just injured his rotator cuff during his Raw debut on Monday and his status heading into May 20’s NXT Takeover live event is up in the air. Goldust will be out two to four months for shoulder surgery. Daniel Bryan spent most of 2014 on the shelf for shoulder, neck and arm injuries and is currently out of action again for health concerns. Man, what’s going on?

This is another huge loss for the Takeover event. Itami is scheduled to face Tyler Breeze and Finn Bálor in a No. 1 contender triple threat, but if he’s out, that’s off. If that happens and Zayn isn’t medically cleared to compete for the NXT Championship against Kevin Owens, they’ll have to do some serious scrambling.

Here’s to hoping Itami has a speedy recovery and can get back to kicking holes in people’s chests as soon as possible.
