Jeff Hardy Will Reportedly Miss Most Of 2016 With An Injury

Sad news for anyone hoping The Hardy Boyz would end up back in WWE in 2016 to relive their glory days with the resurgent Dudley Boyz: a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jeff Hardy will miss most of 2016 due to a knee injury that will require surgery. Jeff and his brother Matt’s TNA deals are said to be expiring in the next 10-12 weeks.

According to multiple reports, Hardy has been telling people that this most recent knee surgery will require him to change up his in-ring style, so look for a Battle Liger version of Hardy grapplef*cking his way through somebody’s roster late next year. There have been plenty of rumors of the Hardyz looking to return to WWE for one last run, but knee surgery means you can cross at least one surprise return off your Royal Rumble predictions list.

Hardy began his 2015 by falling off a cage, and followed that up in April by breaking his leg during a dirt-bike jump gone wrong. Not a great year.

We wish Jeff a speedy recovery, and hope he can find a life in pro wrestling that doesn’t necessarily hinge on his ability to flip from high places and walk away under his own power.
