Kevin Owens Reveals Who Has Helped Him The Most Since Arriving In WWE

French-Canadian destroyer Kevin Owens has been nothing short of a force of nature since being called up to WWE’s main roster last summer. He beat John Cena in his debut match; he won the Intercontinental Championship—twice; he even chucked MGK through a table, making him the hero we both need and deserve.

Of course, we all know the WWE locker room can be a minefield to navigate, especially when you’re new to the company and getting a lot of TV time. So when Kevin Owens spoke with The National in United Arab Emirates recently, he had no problem discussing just who he turned to for guidance.

“I found a lot help from John Cena and Randy Orton just from observing them. I am pretty confident with how I do things in the ring, but as far as to how you carry yourself as a WWE Superstar I think I have looked at how they do things and I guess I have taken from them how, as a general rule of thumb, to be outside the ring as they have been here a long time and obviously are good examples. They are good representatives of the company and that is who I have taken from.”

It’s awesome to see Owens learning from two of WWE’s all-time greats, and it’s even cooler to know they like him, too. Cena certainly wouldn’t agree to lose to somebody unless he recognized their value, and Orton recently commented that Owens is a “great talent” and that he was looking forward to “mixing it up” with him. There is now nothing I want more than to see a pop-up powerbomb countered into an RKO. That’s it, time to end the brand split experiment, we need this Owens/Orton match pronto.
