To Be The Man, You Gotta Beat The Pack: Ric Flair Gave A Pre-Game Talk To The San Francisco 49ers

If you missed Sunday’s NFC wild-card game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers, you missed Phil Dawson drilling a 33-yard field goal through a defender’s arms as time expired to put the Niners up 23-20 and help San Francisco knock Green Bay out of the playoffs for the second-straight year.

If you weren’t in the San Francisco locker room BEFORE the game, you missed something far more ridiculous (and wonderful): 16-time Heavyweight Champion pro wrestler ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair, fresh off a limousine ride and a jet fly, giving a pep-talk to the 49ers with Thus Spake Zarathustra playing in the background. WWE was nice enough to upload a clip of the speech to their YouTube channel, so of course we’re sharing it with you.

Thank goodness it wasn’t financial advice. The Packers should’ve brought in Dusty Rhodes to give the team a speech about hard times. Flair’s one of the best ever so obviously his speech worked, and man, if Mike McCarthy ever gets fired he needs to yell FIRE ME, I’M ALREADY FIRED, FIRE ME, I’M ALREADY FIRED and elbow drop a satin Packers jacket.
