Ric Flair Thinks Mocking LaVar Ball Is ‘Too Easy,’ But That Didn’t Stop Him From Taking Shots Anyway

Ric Flair isn’t on WWE television much these days, but we’re about to see him pretty much everywhere else leading up to the release of his 30 For 30 documentary. His latest media appearance was on Tuesday, as he stopped by the NFL Network, because no one knows more about the NFL than the Nature Boy.

(He also stopped by the NBA commissioner’s office. I guess they’re in the same building or something.)

Anyway, he might have gotten his NFL/NBA wires crossed, because while he was appearing on Good Morning Football, a program where you have to wake up a football, Flair wondered when they were finally going to talk about everyone’s favorite sports dad and shoe magnate punching bag, LaVar Ball.

“Are we gonna bring up LaVar Ball? Too easy. That’s too easy, man. A lot of ammunition there,” said Flair, before picking up some of that ammunition and having an easy old time with it. “He told Stephen A [Smith]., ‘I’m undefeated.’ That’s only because he hasn’t run into me. He won’t even say that to me.”

When asked whether he’d ever wear the Big Baller Brand’s $500 basketball shoes, Flair casually reminded everyone that he’s rich, before heaping praise on Lonzo, with another side of shade for LaVar.

“I would [wear the shoes] if I wanted ‘em. You know, the kid is absolutely phenomenal. To me, [LaVar is] putting him in a very uncomfortable position. Now, I’ve lived vicariously through my daughter a few times, I’m guilty of it. But come on. I think he puts him in a very difficult position, with a lot of pressure on him.”

Ric Flair: the man who speaks truth to power. The power of Big Baller Brand, which is probably unstoppable.
