Ronda Rousey And Stephanie McMahon Are Now Pals And Posing For Red Carpet Pics At The ESPYs

In case you missed the most memorable moment from the biggest pro-wrestling show of the year, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champ Ronda Rousey teamed with The Rock to throw Triple H around like a rag doll and almost snap off Stephanie McMahon’s soccer-mom arm at this year’s WrestleMania. Since then, trying to keep up with whether that confrontation will lead to a match at next year’s ‘Mania has been a bit of a roller-coaster. Dana White says it’s not happening, but Rousey has strongly hinted it will, and insider sources like the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer still insist Ronda Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon is in the plans.

Well, if a Ronda/Steph is happening, WWE did a pretty poor job of building up the feud at last night’s ESPY Awards. Here’s Ronda and Stephanie just hanging out like besties on the ESPY red carpet.

Man, I know wrestling is fake and all, and ESPYs and WWE are different worlds, but couldn’t you at least have Ronda and Steph give each other a bit of side-eye action? Nothing? So, from a wrestling fan’s perspective, the ESPYs were kind of a bust.

Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing.
