Rusev Suffered Another Injury At A WWE Live Event, May Miss Royal Rumble

Per Dave Meltzer, it appears that Rusev suffered a knee injury during a match with Ryback at a WWE live event in Bossier City, Louisiana, on Saturday night. While the injury was described as minor, it caused Rusev to miss Monday’s episode of Raw, and the hope is that he’ll be healed up in time to participate in the Royal Rumble, although nothing has been confirmed.

As you may recall, this is the second injury to cause Rusev to miss shows in a short period of time, having torn his bicep in October. It’s also the latest in a seemingly never-ending string of WWE joint injuries, from Natalya’s broken ankle and Sin Cara’s separated shoulder to John Cena and Randy Orton’s shoulder surgeries. Every few days now someone like Sasha Banks goes down with an unspecified injury, and we have to wait and see which joint she accidentally destroyed.

Please consult the following video for a recap of WWE’s plague of injuries and surgeries. It’s the most accurate reporting we could find.

Get well soon, Ru Ru. If you don’t, at least show up on Raw next week and hang out on the League of Nations apron with King Barrett.
