Sheamus Appears To Be The Latest WWE Superstar To Suffer An Injury

It’s a shameful thing: Sheamus appears to be the latest in a long, long line of high profile WWE injuries.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion posted the following photo of his arm in a cast, with the caption, “You know the celebrations went well when you wake up in a cast… any ideas how it got there?”

There are a few possibilities here. The injury hasn’t been confirmed and we haven’t had to write any “Sheamus set to miss the next six months” posts, so it may be minor. It could also just be Sheamus posing for a picture in a cast, playing on the ongoing story that every pro wrestlers you’ve ever heard of is on the shelf with an injury. John Cena and Nikki Bella, Sting, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Hideo Itami, Tyson Kidd, Cesaro, and on and on. Some previously injured stars have started returning to action, so it’s time to put a few more on injured reserve. Maybe he wants to join League of Nations teammate King Barrett in the competitive field of “doing nothing.”

As much as we’re tired of seeing Sheamus doing pretty much anything on television, we definitely hope he’s not injured, and if he is, we hope it’s minor and that his recovery is quick and painless. We also hope the League of Nations invests in a third of a dozen Hoverounds and continues to scootily menace WWE.
