Watch Roman Reigns’ Dad React To His Son’s Championship Win At WrestleMania

The Internet may have collectively hated the WrestleMania 32 main event, but not everyone did.

Ryan Katz shared the above clip of WWE Hall of Famer Sika of the Wild Samoans — aka Roman Reigns’ dad — reacting to his son’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship victory. Spoiler alert, there’s a Ric Flair-esque jacket toss involved. It’s adorable, and in stark contrast to most of the rest of the building.

After WrestleMania 31’s main event, which saw Seth Rollins cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion in a match that was otherwise one-on-one between Reigns and then-champion Brock Lesnar, there were rumors that Sika and the rest of Reigns’ family were “irate” at the finish. From the Observer at the time:

“Sika forgot this business is not real life, and was legit pissed at the finish and looking to start a war. A lot of the younger (family members) were rallying around Sika, but the other 45 or 50 of them talked some reason.”

That was later refuted by Michael Hayes, but whether there was any truth to it or not, it’s nice to see Sika happy after Mania 32. His son’s now a 3-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and regardless of the popular reactions to it, that’s something to be proud of.
