The Undertaker Is Re-Teaming With Kane To Take On A Possible WrestleMania 32 Opponent In Mexico

So, what’s the latest on The Undertaker’s unexpected comeback tour? Prior to SummerSlam, it was revealed that Taker would actually be working a Mexican house show tour in October, but then Undertaker once again collapsed after his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, and the whole “Undertaker will be wrestling semi-regular matches again” thing started to seem unlikely.

Well, I guess Taker has shook off SummerSlam, because he’s entering SATAN’S STRUCTURE with Brock Lesnar at Hell in a Cell, and apparently the Mexican tour is still on. WWE has announced Undertaker will be reforming the Brothers of Destruction with Kane to take on Luke Harper and Braun Strowman October 16 in Merida, October 17 in Mexico City, and October 18 in Monterrey.

This is an interesting match-up because, word is, one of Taker’s Mexico tour opponents could be facing him at WrestleMania. According to the latest scuttlebutt from the Wrestling Observer, the original plan for WrestleMania 32 was for Undertaker and Brock Lesnar to face each other in a decisive rubber match, but for whatever reason, Vince McMahon decided to move that up to Hell in a Cell (possibly due to sagging Network numbers). That very allegedly leaves three main names in the running to face Taker at WrestleMania 32: Seth Rollins, because he’s the only top heel Taker hasn’t faced, John Cena, because duh, and yes, Braun Strowman.

Could the Mexican tour matches between Taker and Brown Stewman be a bit of a trial run? Possibly. What do you think about the rumored Taker WrestleMania opponents? They sound fine (Rollins and Cena) to hilarious (Strowman), but I, like a lot of people, kind of assumed this was The Undertaker’s retirement tour, and none of those three guys feel like a properly dramatic FINAL MATCH. I suppose we’ll see where the future (under) takes us.
