The Undertaker Is In New York, And He May Be Having Surgery Soon

Prior to WrestleMania 33, word had been going around that The Undertaker was feeling some serious pain, and that he was putting off some pretty major surgery. He underwent a hip surgery last year, but that was believed to be a stopgap procedure until the full operation could take place. Now that he is apparently retired, it might be time for the real deal.

The Sun reports that Undertaker and his wife, Michelle McCool, were both spotted (and photographed) in New York City, where they were seen entering the David H. Koch Pavilion Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, which is ranked as the No. 1 hospital in the country for orthopedic surgery.

Of course, it’s totally possible that the couple was just visiting the facility for a consultation, a preliminary appointment, a second opinion, or any other number of reasons. Maybe they were visiting a friend or relative. Maybe this was a Make-A-Wish situation.

Regardless of why they were visiting, reports indicate (and have for some time now) that Undertaker will need major hip surgery — likely a hip replacement — at some point. It’s probably not the worst idea in the world to check out the top hospital in the country for that type of surgery.

You generally can’t compete in wrestling for 30-plus years and walk away completely unscathed … not even if you’re an immortal zombie biker patriot MMA cowboy.
