The Pittsburgh Penguins Are Getting A Shiny New WWE Belt To Go With Their Stanley Cup

In case you missed it (it’s not basketball, so you probably did), the Pittsburgh Penguins won their fourth franchise Stanley Cup Championship on Sunday night. The Pens won their series against the San Jose Sharks, giving them their second championship under captain Sidney Crosby. Now that they’ve celebrated with their shiny new trophy, WWE is sending them another shiny new championship of their very own:

WWE has a history of sending custom championship belts to winning sports teams, but this one was made just that much more special by the aforementioned “HBK Line.” The Penguins third line of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino and Phil Kessel caught the attention of legendary pro wrestler Shawn Michaels, the original Heartbreak Kid. Not only did this make for an incredible first hockey game for the original HBK, but he got to see his newfound favorite team come out on top in a performance befitting one of the greatest of all time.

The belt itself is custom-fit with Pittsburgh Penguins plates in place of where the WWE World Heavyweight Champion would have the logo representing their character. Though, really, as much as I love hockey, I’m gonna go on pretending that an actual penguin toppled Roman Reigns. That’s way better than his current run anyways, right?
