Injured WWE Superstar Neville Will Reportedly Return To Television Within The Next Month

Finally, some more good news on WWE’s injury front. Diminutive high-flyer Neville sustained an ankle injury during a match back in March. Jericho had to do some quick thinking in order to play off the injury and end the match with minimal suspicion, but as you can see, the injury was more than apparent:

This was the official word from WWE at the time:

“Neville sustained a left ankle injury on a baseball slide during his match with Chris Jericho,” Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. “Initial X-rays reveal a fracture of the ankle. He will undergo further imaging today to determine the extent of the fracture and to determine if surgery will be necessary.”

PWInsider is now reporting that Neville is expected to return within the next month or so, or at least by the middle of July. Our sources have confirmed that Neville’s recovery is on track, and his next official medical evaluation is scheduled for July 1. Neville’s return is great news for WWE, as the upcoming brand split will need to maximize its roster across not one show, but two. The brand split has also brought with it rumors of more NXT call-ups, so by the time he gets back in the swing of things, he should feel right at home again.
