WWE Raw 4/22 Quick Results

If you’d like to know what happened on tonight’s WWE Raw but don’t want to read several dozen paragraphs to decipher it, With Leather is here for you. Here’s what happened on the April 22, 2013, episode of WWE Raw, live (on tape) from London, England:

– Triple H accepted Brock Lesnar’s challenge for a steel cage match at Extreme Rules, emphasizing the point by hitting Paul Heyman with a Pedigree.

1. R-Truth defeated Antonio Cesaro. Before the match, Cesaro challenged Truth’s rap abilities with yodeling in an embarrassing moment.

2. Damien Sandow defeated Brodus Clay. Sandow took advantage of a Cody Rhodes distraction and rolled up Brodus for the three.

3. Non-title Match: World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler defeated Chris Jericho. A pre-match stipulation from Vickie Guerrero said that if Jericho won the match, he would be inserted into the World Heavyweight Title match at Extreme Rules. Jericho looked to have the match won, but was distracted by the music of Fandango. Fandango never appeared, but Ziggler capitalized with a Zig Zag and pinned Jericho.

4. Tensai defeated Cody Rhodes. The inverse of the earlier match. Sandow tried to distract Tensai, but it didn’t work. Tensai defeated Rhodes with a chokebomb.

5. Big E Langston defeated Zack Ryder. Langston had new, non-NXT entrance music and won with the Big Ending. Total squash.

6. The Shield defeated Daniel Bryan, Kane and The Undertaker. The Shield jumped Team Hell No backstage before the match, but the tag team champions recovered and participated in the match. After a long back-and-forth affair, Daniel Bryan missed a flying headbutt and was pinned by Dean Ambrose. The Shield continues their winning streak.

7. Fandango defeated William Regal. Regal was very popular with the England crowd. Fandango won with a swinging reverse STO in the style of NXT’s Bray Wyatt.

8. AJ Lee won a Divas battle royal to become the new number one contender to the Divas Championship. Layla, Aksana, Tamina Snuka and Naomi were the other participants in the match. AJ eliminated Layla to win the match.

– In the main event segment, Mick Foley confronted Ryback about reaching his potential. The Shield attacked, but John Cena made the save. Cena then attacked Ryback, getting revenge on him for last week.
