“Fantasy Warfare Just Got Real,” and now Goldberg and The Beast Incarnate prepare for a Raw confrontation before their epic Mega Match at Survivor Series. What will happen when these two icons come together under one roof? Also on Raw, SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon and Team Blue General Manager Daniel Bryan come to Monday night’s hottest show before the brands collide at WWE’s fall classic. (via WWE.com)
Our five-point preview:
1. Here they are, face to face, a couple of silver spoons. Brock Lesnar and Billy Goldberg come face to face for the first time (on television, at least) in 12 years. Fingers crossed that the segment ends with Stone Cold Steve Austin stunning both of them and drinking beers in the corner.
2. There’s a lot of “will Kalisto win the Cruiserweight Championship and bring the division to Smackdown?” and “will Sami Zayn win the Intercontinental Championship and bring it to Raw?” stuff in the official preview, so we’ll follow that with, “how long can they actually keep the brands split before they put whoever they want on whatever show whenever they want,” and, “why are these shows fighting again?”
3. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan are coming to Raw. Yes, I’ve already fantasy booked five different versions of, “Brock Lesnar attacks Bryan so he comes out of retirement and they wrestle at WrestleMania.”
4. Can the Raw team get along? More importantly, why didn’t Stephanie McMahon take “can they get along” into consideration before teaming them up? “Roman Reigns and guys who hate Roman Reigns” seems like a bad decision.
5. Still hoping a Team Superstars led by Curtis Axel joins the match and wins the brand war.
