WWE Raw Open Discussion Thread 1/11/16

Tonight, on the With Spandex WWE Raw open discussion thread:

He’s coming.

(TMI)

Less than two weeks before the 2016 Royal Rumble event, Brock Lesnar is re-emerging on Raw in New Orleans — the same city The Beast Incarnate made history by ending The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania Streak. What awaits as The Anomaly’s shadow looms over Monday’s Raw? WWE.com has some theories. (via WWE.com)

Our five-point preview:

1. Brock Lesnar is on the show, so it should be* exciting!

*There’s a good chance Brock’s role on the show will be to stand in the ring saying and doing nothing while Paul Heyman slots him into the Royal Rumble, so it may be less “exciting” than “the prospect of exciting,” but hey, it’s Brock. I’d rather have him standing there than sitting at home.

2. How great would it be if Lesnar’s appearance saw him get attacked by the Social Outcasts, with the reveal that Bo Dallas pulled the strings on everything to get revenge? Followup question, how great would it be if Brock Lesnar F-5’d all four members of the group at once?

3. WWE announced that Sting is the first member of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2016. Hopefully they’ll celebrate this by having Sting show up on Raw, then lose a match to Heath Slater.

4. I’m already preparing a comedy bit about JBL saying David Bowie song titles like he’s ever heard them, so I hope he lists like five. ALBERTO DEL RIO IS AFRAID OF AMERICANS, MAGGLE! MEXICO’S GREATEST EXPORT!

5. Let’s hope Chris Jericho, master of modern comedy, is on hand to interrupt the League of Nations and call them the League of Noogies.

As always, we’re including 10 of our favorite comments from tonight’s open discussion thread in tomorrow’s Best and Worst of Raw column. To nominate your favorites for consideration, reply to them with a +1. Enjoy the show. The person who correctly guesses JBL’s Bowie reference wins a No-Prize.
