With SmackDown LIVE taking the world by storm, The Miz must put his Intercontiental Title on the line in a Backlash rematch against Dolph Ziggler. Plus, Dean Ambrose will go one-on-one with 15-time World Champion John Cena. – via WWE.com
Our five-point preview:
1. The Miz and Daniel Bryan used their feeling words and talked out their issues — or at least one of them did. After renegotiating his contract, The Miz was blindsided by a championship rematch against Dolph Ziggler. Now, is he angry he did all that emoting for nothing, or just that he has to yet again get in the ring with Big Daddy Ziggs?
2. Dean Ambrose turned on his tag partner John Cena because he’s just one wild and crazy guy! What wacky and unpredictable shenanigans will he whip out tonight when he goes one-on-one with the leader of the Cenation? (A rebound clothesline. It’ll be that.)
3. Now that Heath Slater and Rhyno are tag champs, there’s no shortage of bros and literal brothers looking to take the belts. Will this unlikely alliance crack under the pressure? How many times are you looking forward to hearing “You can’t tame a Rhyno!” if they do? And why on earth are we calling them “Beauty and the Manbeast” instead of Hardcore Country??
4. Alexa Bliss has set her sights on Becky Lynch’s fancy new title. Will she be able to ensure that Becky never has nice things and bring her reign to an abrupt halt, or will she make incredible mean mugs when she can’t? It’s a win-win for all of us either way, really.
5. That thing with Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt is still happening where nothing really happens but people get RKO-ed a lot. Tonight on Smackdown, it’ll happen again!
