WWE Wants To Keep The Undertaker Off Free Television So You’ll Buy WrestleMania

Is WWE saving The Undertaker for WrestleMania? According to PWInsider, yes they are.

According to sources within WWE, the idea is to keep Undertaker off of WWE television because people will pay to see the person they care about more than literally anything else. And it’s kind of true. My WWE fandom might be set to whatever the opposite of MAX POWER is right now, but if I had the chance to see Undie show up and silently point at something instead of, say, roughly 98 percent of the people I’m related to, I would take Undie. To be fair, the people in my family are pretty garbage, but also The Undertaker. My cousin just had a baby, and I already care more about what kind of pool he and Mrs. LayCool have. I mean, he can’t even try to get in ripped grandpa shape during Raw without people losing their minds.

The idea of keeping Undertaker as a network-only thing legitimately makes the most sense, given how vocally sour people are about the direction of current storylines. If people are showing their distaste with their wallets, why not keep a few things strictly subscription-only? Want to see The Undertaker in WWE for the first time since The Streak was broken? Subscribe! Want to see The Rock smile and crack jokes in a T-shirt that’s way too tight? Subscribe! Want to see Stone Cold talk about his BMs and how to watch your fiber intake so it doesn’t stomp a mudhole in your… um, yeah.

Maybe hold that last one back.
