It’s a family affair for Alicia Keys as she shares her new song “Blended Family (What You Do for Love)” with a guest appearance from A$AP Rocky. The track comes from the singer’s newly announced album, Here, currently slated for a November 4 release, and it’s just what the name implies. The singing angel from Hell’s Kitchen dedicates the song to husband and children, praising how their love extends beyond blood, a notion that many who have nontraditional families should be able to relate.

“Hey I might not really be your mother
That don’t mean that I don’t really love ya
And even though I married your father
That’s not the only reason I’m here for you”

Keys married producer Swizz Beatz back in 2010. He came into the marriage with children and they also have two young sons together. “It means so much to me and our whole family,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “The understanding, compassion and support we’ve found is a powerful testament to the healing that comes when we choose love. Especially for the kids…the most important part of our lives.”

Keys is preparing to release Here, her sixth studio album and the follow-up to 2012’s Girl on Fire. Listen “Blended Family” on Apple Music and purchase the song on iTunes. Check out the album’s artwork below as well.
