Ben & Jerry’s Support Of Black Lives Matters Sparks #BenAndJerrysNewFlavor

In case you haven’t heard, both Ben & Jerry are officially invited to the cookout. How can they not be after releasing that passionate statement in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. In an essay posted on their website, the Vermont-based frozen treat company firmly backed the controversial movement while explaining that “all lives will not matter until black lives matter.”

Ben & Jerry’s felt it was their “moral obligation” to speak up after watching the list of unarmed Black Americans get killed by law enforcement officers grow longer and longer. To say they “get it” would be a gross understatement.

As with most white people who “get it,” such wokeness can only be awarded with your Aunt Cheryl’s potato salad, Uncle Junebug’s good ass ribs and a playlist jam packed with all the cookout classics from “Before I Let Go” all the way to “September” and everything else in between. However, with Ben & Jerry’s invitation also comes an invitation for the Vermont-based company to take it a step further with a brand new flavor in celebration of their wokeness.

Ben & Jerry’s lovers have picked out some terrific new names with the #BenAndJerrysNewFlavor hashtag that I’m so hoping becomes a real thing. I don’t know about you but “Huey P. Nougat” sounds delicious as f*ck.
