Chance the Rapper was scheduled to perform Monday night at a charity event in New York. Unfortunately for those who were hoping to catch the rising Chicago rapper, and to help a good cause in the process, there has been a change of plans. Chance the Rapper will not be performing after being hospitalized for an undisclosed issue.

The event, “Night for NYC.” is taking place at Terminal 5 in New York, and it is being put on by the Robin Hood Foundation in order to raise money to fight poverty. Chance the Rapper, conscious gentleman he is, was scheduled to headline the event, before this issue occurred. It is not the first time that he has missed a show due to an unexpected hospitalization. His 2014 Coachella performance was cancelled for a similar reason after he fell ill.

However, despite the absence of Chance the Rapper, the charity event will still be going on, and the replacements are pretty impressive in their own right. Mark Ronson, Anderson.Paak, and Joey Bada$$ will all be stepping in to replace Chance the Rapper, so it should still be a good show for a great cause. Hopefully, this isn’t a serious issue for Chance, but at least the show was able to pivot quickly to avoid having the night fall apart.
