If you didn’t receive an invitation to Chance The Rapper’s Magnificent Coloring World, you really only have yourself to blame. You should have listened to more of his music. The Chicago musician teased the event over Twitter yesterday with a warning that, “I’m only sending invites to the folks who know all the words. Check your emails tmw AM.”

He wasn’t kidding. Invitations were sent out to only the top 0.001% of his listening fan base on Soundcloud. According to the email sent out to the extremely lucky few who must have Chance’s music on repeat all day, everyday, “Because you are such an amazing fan, Chance would like to invite you first, to purchase tickets to a private, once in a lifetime experience this Saturday in Chicago.”

Once in a lifetime might be a bit of a misnomer. Chance hosted the first Magnificent Coloring World at the Goose Island Brewery on the West Side of the city last year. I actually went to the event. I hopped on one of the buses that picked us all up at a local school, and drove over to the super, secret location. The entire thing had a vibe like a Middle School field day with the songs from his then, just-released project Coloring Book blasting overheard. It was really fun.

If you notice, the email sent out today notes that those who received it are the first invitees to participate in this year’s events, so if you want to go, there might still be hope.
