Investigators In Chris Brown’s Gun Case Can’t Find Enough Evidence Against Him

We hate to say it, but it looks like Chris Brown might have been right about something. His most recent run-in with the law may well have been a farce. According to TMZ, the gun case against the singer is on the verge of being dropped due to a lack of evidence.

The gossip website reports that the Los Angeles County District Attorney pushed back Brown’s arraignment by two weeks so that investigators could gather evidence and make a stronger case. Their sources say that the investigators were unable to find anything more to shore up the case or to pin any of the guns that were found in the house to Brown.

Baylee Curran said that in August, Brown pulled a gun on her and ordered her to leave his home. That report led to a much-publicized stand-off with police that certainly didn’t look good for Brown at the time. But given that Chris’ accuser has a shaky history and evidence around her suggesting that she might be making the whole thing up, this doesn’t look like a case that the DA will take on.

TMZ points out that investigators could bring the case the case to the L.A. city attorney and charge Brown with misdemeanor assault, but their sources claim that a case is just as unlikely to proceed there.
