Let Clams Casino And Lil B Teach You How To Live Your Best ‘Life’

Clams Casino and Lil B have worked together for around seven or eight years, so it’s only natural that they’re co-headlining selected tour dates starting Tuesday, September 16. Today, they celebrate the occasion with a catchy new track, “Live My Life,” released via Clams’ Soundcloud.

Thanks to their familiarity, Clams’ beautiful, atmospheric production suits the BasedGod’s introspective and optimistic lyrics perfectly. Naturally, Lil B drops some gems while contemplating his own existence (“Sometimes I don’t know who I am / A white man trapped in a black man / Black man trapped in a white man) and affirming the key to life is just accepting “some days are wrong, some days are right.” As usual, listeners come away from the track with something to think about: Remember there’s only “one life to live,” and make the most out of it. Or more simply, you do you.

Jersey native Clams Casino first placed beats with Lil B dating back to the BasedGod’s peak in 2009 and they’ve continued collaborating since, including 2010’s hit track, “I’m God.” More recently, Lil B guested on two tracks (“Witness” and “32 Levels”) from Clams’ debut studio album, 32 Levels, after spending three days in L.A. during, believe it or not, their first proper studio time together.
