DMX Sends Words Of Encouragement To Kanye West

If there’s one man who knows a thing or two about battling demons and going through some real heavy stuff, it’s DMX. The rapper has always been open and honest about his mental issues in his songs, once revealing his fight with bipolar disorder in the song, “F*ckin Wit D.” Rapping, “listed as a manic depression, with extreme paranoia” on the 1998 track. X’s personal issues led to a relationship with God that’s also well documented on his many albums with his “Prayer” series. And with Kanye battling his own issues, after forcibly being hospitalized for extreme sleep deprivation and temporary psychosis, DMX is sending ‘Ye some much-needed words of encouragement.

The 45-year-old rapper took to his Instagram and personal made a video to share a special shout to Kanye. “I want to give a special shout out to Kanye,” X starts off. “Let him know that my prayers are with him. My family’s prayers are with him. Remind him that when God is for you, who can be against you? No one or nothing. Stand strong, brother. God is in your corner.”

Lady Gaga is also sending prayers and support to Kanye. The two almost went on tour together several years ago, but Gaga cancelled shortly after Kanye’s MTV VMA incident involving Taylor Swift. Putting the past behind her, Gaga tweeted, “I support and love you brother. “I see in you bravery & courage to stop this tour & take care of YOU. You are a GREAT artist.” The entertainer also advised fans: “While I don’t agree with everything [Kanye] does I hope the public shows compassion and ♥ for @kanyewest and each other.”

West still remains hospitalized, but is reportedly doing “much better.”
