Much like everyone else, Drake wanted to see what all the fuss was behind Kanye’s flying stage. On Wednesday night, he made his way to ‘Ye’s Saint Pablo tour stop in Los Angeles to bear witness for himself and, from the looks of it, he enjoyed it just as much as everyone else in the crowd.
Fan video footage captured the Views rapper, Future the Prince and friends in the audience jamming out to the wide array of hits Kanye performed. Social media has produced a few quick clips of him grooving to “Stronger” and damn near losing it when the beat drops for “Good Life.” Laugh all you want at Drake’s excitement but it’s hard not to get giddy when Kanye’s rolling big song after big song.
Of course, all of this comes after what’s a weird few days and weeks in the small world of rap.
Drake’s been feeling the blowback that comes from his recent diss song aimed at Pusha T and Kid Cudi, which makes his companionship with Kanye all the more prickly. While Drizzy and Yeezy are said to be working on a collaborative album, Drake’s taking shots at Pusha, the president of G.O.O.D. Music, and Cudi, a former G.O.O.D. artist and someone who Kanye’s shown a lot of support while he’s dealing with rehab. On night one of the L.A. stand, Kanye went so far as to have the audience do a little sing-along to show love to Cudi.
Kanye and Drake were both among those called out by Mr. Rager in a rather epic Twitter rant weeks back. They each chose completely opposite ways to react. Kanye first barked back but forgave his “brother” days later. Drake, on the other hand, decided to attack in raps and hasn’t softened his stance even though the public outcry has been pretty loud.
It makes you wonder how the conversation went backstage when ‘Ye and Drake linked up. Who knows, but it’s pretty clear the 6 God had a good time during the actual show. Check out a few additional pics below.
