Gucci Mane Has Something In The Works For ‘Woptober’

By any measure, 2016 has been an extremely good year for Gucci Mane. In May, the rapper was released from prison three months ahead of schedule, and last week, his new album Everybody’s Looking debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Rap/R&B charts, the first album of his career to do so. Now, it appears he has something else in the works that could be released before the year’s end.

On Wednesday, Guwop released an Instagram post that featured a snippet of a new song. The post was simply captioned “#Woptober,” a phrase that also featured heavily in the clip (“don’t need a day/I need a month/Woptober”).

So, what could this mean? Well, it’s pretty obvious that Gucci intends to have this album or whatever this project might be drop in October, for one thing. There’s also the possibility that this could be the rumored 6ers collaboration with Drake, who appeared on the Everybody’s Looking track “Back On Road.” Releasing a project with Drake in October would make sense would both parties, as it would also tie in with Drake’s record label, October’s Very Own.

For now, we can only guess what this new project and #Woptober will all be about, but one things for sure: it’s a great time to be a Gucci Mane fan.
