Jazz Cartier Pays Tribute To His Hero With ‘Lil Wayne’

Saturday’s edition of OVO Sound Radio came and went without Drake’s response to Joe Budden’s scathing diss track, but that doesn’t mean listeners left empty-handed. Following a vintage throwback 90s hip-hop and R&B mix by 40, host Oliver premiered some new music including a tribute by Jazz Cartier for his hero Lil Wayne.

Produced by Jacuzzi’s frequent collaborator Lantz, the bouncy new track features the Toronto rapper deftly riding every twist and turn of the beat with clever lines which would make his idol proud.

“My chain, Toucan Sam that
Tropical colors, you can’t match that
Gotta be abstract
You catch my girl’s legs open
Better smash that
Don’t be surprised if she ask ‘Where the cash at?'”
