The Bay Area continues to kick out new, exciting and unique artist and the latest wave features a female MC that might be the region’s best bet for a crossover star. Kamaiyah made waves earlier this year with her debut mixtape A Good Night In The Ghetto, a groovy mix of retro-funk and joyful 90s nostalgia, and the 21-year-old Oakland native has been buzzing ever since. Well, clearly she wasn’t satisfied with newfound fame and critical acclaim because she was back releasing new material a few months later with “How You Want It.” Now, fresh off a new collaboration with E-40, she’s back again with a video for the dope, Cardo-produced track, where she brags “I’m the holy child, can’t touch me now, I’m anointed.”
