A picture of an unknown man who sort of, kind of, looks like Kanye West, or as one user called him, Kanye East, has surfaced on Twitter. Naturally, the jokes are hilarious, although some of them border on mean — 808s and Depression, is a bit harsh, for example — but it’s mostly in good fun and there are plenty of laughs to be had.
Never underestimate the creativity of Twitter, as people played off song titles (“Most of the Lights”) and album names (Community College Dropout), as well as the poor guy’s slightly nerdy appearance (“No one man should have all that power unless they’re using a company approved surge protector”).
All this raises the question of where the real Kanye West would be up to right now if he hadn’t gotten that Roc-A-Fella chain. If he hadn’t been taken under No ID’s wing, he wouldn’t have landed beats on Jay Z’s seminal The Blueprint, and it’s quite possible he wouldn’t have become a rapper at all — at least not on this level. One thing’s for sure, though, the G.O.O.D. Music founder would still have better fashion sense than his doppelganger. Yeezy wouldn’t be caught dead in that polo and those dad jeans.
