Kanye West Is Covering Drake And Hanging From The Rafters For His ‘Saint Pablo’ Tour

Last night Kanye West kicked off his Saint Pablo tour in a relatively unassuming stadium in Indianapolis. But anyone who doubted that Yeezy would let that stop him from going HAM was gravely mistaken. Continuing in the vein of his “I Am A God” thesis, Ye was not satisfied to merely show up onstage at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Instead, he had a one-of-a-kind floating stage that, of course, initially confused fans entering the venue because it only swung out into place after the concert began. Scooter Braun, illustrious manager of the Biebs and our beloved Carly Rae, was impressed.

Here’s what it looked like in action:

He also opened up to E! News about the entire process, saying it took “ten years, perhaps” to plan:

More from Yeezy on his vision:

I just wanted people to get into it and have a fun time. Make it not be just about watching the artist but people watching their friends and singing along with the lyrics and just being able to see themselves and their outfits. Take the concert experience to another level. It’s not just about what you’re seeing on the screen or what you’re seeing me doing up on the stage, but what you and your friends are doing.

Wonder if he’ll be bringing this trapeze mentality to his unregulated VMA four minute slot? Regardless, he brought plenty of Pablo tracks to his new tour, along with some classics, and… a Drake cover? Maybe that joint album really is on the way. Check out the whole list below so you know what to expect when he hits your town. Don’t forget to pick up some merch beforehand.
