Kembe X takes aggressive raps to a new level on “Welcome to America.” Chad Marshall directs the barely lit but oddly beautiful video as X spits with the kind of energy and force that jumps through the headphones. Bentley Haze provides the instrumental as the Chicago-bred MC takes aim at opposing forces which include America, the police, and copycat rappers. This increase in output is a positive sign for Kembe as he also released “10 Ft. Tall” and “Excellence” earlier this month.
While there’s no project on the horizon, Kembe is clearly in the beginning stages of his career and with songs as strong as “Welcome to America,” it’ll be interesting to see where he goes next.
